Artist
Eva Misa grew up in an artistic environment. Her father was a painter and photographer, and her mother a photographer and an avid gardener. They both had a deep influence on her need to express herself creatively, not just in painting but also in music.
She had two years of formal art training but is primarily self-taught. Flowers have always been her favorite subject. Their infinite variety in colors, shapes and textures gives her an endless source of inspiration.
Her work combines the influences of many artists--mostly impressionists and postimpressionists. One recurring theme in her work is to use decorative borders and designs to compliment the main composition. She uses textural mediums, acrylics, oils and sometimes adds collage materials for different effects. Using all of these mediums, she is constantly exploring new ways for self-expression.
